Desserts in DROPTOP Cafe, Penang

As the previous post mentioned, we went for desserts time at Droptop after we had our brunch at The Daily Dose.

I really wanted to tried out the desserts at Droptop so we just went there without hestitation.

Why my strawberry is not
reddish enough.

As we reached, we saw that there were table and chairs outside the cafe. It has the big glass window so sunlight can shine through the window. Too bad Malaysia weather is hot unlike in Korea, if not we would rather choose to be sit on outside.

Once I stepped into the Droptop cafe, it gave me the vibes and make me feel like I am in a cafe in Korea. They are basically playing the song lists on my phone playlists with the latest kpop songs. The decoration and how they arrange those furniture also playing a big part into the korean concept cafe, at least this one make me feel the most alike the cafe in Korea.

You can see on your right handside there is a row of table in front of the glass window I mentioned earlier with the high chair, there is electric plug on it so that you can bring your laptop and online as I can see the table was full with laptops. I just came to realise that almost every tables have at least one laptop.

It make me wonder doesn't that make the Internet slow as if there so much of laptops. As my previous experience teach me that if the cafe is full of people the wifi barely can work.
The menu

We went in Sunday and we barely can get a seat, but luckily there was one couple was leaving. As we really wanted to try out the Strawberry cake, so we ordered one and also some Dropccino (something like ice smoothie) as we are too full to have Icetop (something like bingsu/korean shaved ice). Just like the usual cafe you have to go the counter order and then they will give you a round thing (not sure what it called) that will vibrate when your food is ready.

I get the wifi password from the waiter, and it is unlike any normal cafe, it is more alike to the hotel wifi, you have to connect it, and then it will lead you to the homepage and you have to fill in the user name and the password given and then you are free to google. The internet speed  amazed me despite of there are so many people with laptops in the cafe and I know the reason why the crowd are here now!

In a while, we go to collect for our desserts. But it does seems a little smaller than the photo illustration I saw in instagram feeds. 😂

I and Selirnn had our Dropccino first before we tasting the cake and we kind of regret that because we could not feel any sweetness in our cake. Maybe the drinks or smoothies have covered the sweetness in the cake. But the Strawberry Dropccino I ordered really suit my taste bud, it taste like the sweets sugus become liquid. I really love it. Too bad we could not stay any longer as Selirnn was having another appointment in an hour. But I will definitely go back next time to try the Icetop.

Belated Birthday Celebration at The Daily Dose Cafe

Since 2017 is gonna end real soon and we have promised each other to celebrate our birthday together every year no matter how belated it is as long as it's in that year because we have the same birthday. We have been celebrating our birthday since 2013, and we have lost count, we thought this is our 4th year celebrating together. But in fact it is the 5th year, omg it feels just like yesterday when we get to know each other.
At first, we plan to celebrate in July or August. But her work life is very hectic, she even have to go outstation on her first day of work(OMG!), so we cannot really fix a date to celebrate.

I have know Selirnn from a composing music group name Wanderers which I joined during my university days. Although we have 2years age gap but we are very clicked once we get to know each other. Coincidently, we actually from the same high school and I almost go to her college! And there are many coincident piled up and that makes our friendship even more stronger.

Both of us are very busy and we keep delaying this birthday celebration, so we decide that we must celebrate it in december 2017 no matter what.

I have been in KL for last three years so I don't really know any cafe or restaurant is good in Penang as there any many new cafes opening everyday. Maybe I should say I barely know Penang anymore.

So I just go through searching and I found this cafe - The Daily Dose Cafe. I am not sure this cafe was the one near to love lane and they move it to a new place or it's just another different cafe.

The food photos I saw the instagrammers post are really delicious so we decide to go there.

We went there together and we got really lucky to get the parking just a few steps away as Georgetown area is kind of hard to find parking nowadays.

The cafe outlooks is very heritage feel and we take a few shots before we go in. The cafe interior is kind of long and they got blackboards with some cute drawings. The middle part is kind of open air and even the staircase is beautiful. And we went to the back part and grab a seat because it is more cold here with the air conditional. 😂

So we quickly place our order as we are really hungry. I always go for English Breakfast so I ordered Wake Me Up! and Selirnn ordered Joyous Sunny. The menu here is very healthy and nutrient as they have a range of salad. They also have pasta if you come here for lunch and some set meals.
Upper is Joyous Sunny
Below is Wake Me Up!

The menu are as below:

They served the food quite fast and the scramble egg is good. And the food is good so we are happy and contented. I think I will go back again after some time because for now I want to try some new cafe first.

There are many friend and family visit here for brunch at the other table.

Before we left, the staff very kind to help us take some pretty photos at different background.

We wore the same type
of clothes coincidently.

Many people also taking their photos in the cafe so we are kind of queue up for our turn. 😂 I guess it's a norm now whenever we visit a cafe.

After that we continue to our second round Cafe DROPTOP for desserts and some cakey.

Goodbye Jong Hyun, Our Bling Bling Angel

It's been 48 hours since SM release the official statement about Jong Hyun is passed away. I still could not believe and accept that he is gone. I am so unfamiliar with this feeling that I never had before. It's just too hard, too difficult, too much to handle. I am not in the age where I have to be used to this. No, there is never an age to be used to accept this kind of heart breaking news. I can feel my heart skip a beat, or maybe it had drop to the floor, it feels very heavy and I got no word to describe it. After a while, I come to realise my tears keep dropping without my notice.

Yes, I am a Shawol, a fandom name for SHINee. I have been their fan since 2008 where KPOP is still new to the world, at least not really vulnerable to everyone like today. They was the second generation group of KPOP who have stay strong for 9 years now, next year will be their 10th anniversary. What make me even sadder is that I didn't get a chance to meet Jong Hyun when he was alive, and there is never a chance for me to do so. There is one time around 2013, they were going to come to Malaysia for a concert with other Kpop groups (although not their solo group), but end up the concert was cancel. And I keep thinking that I will get to watch their solo concert in Malaysia one day as the other groups like TVXQ, Super Junior and EXO had their concert tour here, so I guess I will have a chance to see them here. And time passed, and then in 2015, I went to Korea and got the chance to watch a concert in Korea and yes SHINee was one of the performer. But too bad that Jong Hyun did not show up that day due to his other schedule, so I miss a chance to see him. I just thought that maybe next time they will come to Malaysia and I will go to see them all in once. Sadly, my dream will never come true anymore. If I ever get the chance to go their concert, I will be singing his part with the members, because I know he will always be there, just in another world.

TBH it's been a while that I have been blogging, but I think I need to write this down, maybe it's a way to send him to the heaven. I hope my last letter get to send to him in his funeral in Korea tomorrow. I am really thankful to the Taiwan fan who is very kind who willing to help us print and deliver our last letter and word to him. Maybe god know he is too good to be here so he want to keep this angel beside him.

Jonghyun,
He will always be remembered as the talented guy.
He will always be remembered as the michievious guy who is very funny in the variety show.
He will always be remembered as the artist who dare to talk back to Cony and Dony in weekly idol.
He will always be remembered as the caring guy who waited his member birthday passed only leave.
He will always be remembered as the kind guy who waited his member finished their movie airing, concert and comeback only leave to avoid any negative news on their works.
He will always be remembered as the good guy who had donate his organ when he passed away and arrange well to leave his property for his beloved sister.
He will always be remembered as the hardworking guy who had finished his albums and mvs before he leave.
He will always be remembered as the warm guy who cheer up the fans when they are having a hard times.
He will always be remembered as the vocalist who can hit high notes.
He will always be remembered as the artist who recognise his fansite and profile photo, he even draw the fansite logo on his body in the concert and show it to them, apologize that he could not include them all as he did not have enough time as one of the logo need 20minutes to draw.

You know this is the last right.

He will always be remembered as the musician who compose music which heals people heart.

Our memories on him will be forever 27 years old.

Words can be bad and words can be good. It depends on how you use it, please do not use words to bash others, you may not know how hard they fight for life, despite of idol, artists or ordinary person. You should use your words to cheer up others instead, world can be a better place with positve vibes and hopes. It make people feel less miserable at least. If you do not like it, just ignore it, you may not know one's has gone through.

Maybe all he wanted is just that we notice his pain and tell him you have done well and spend time with him. Sorry we did not finding out that you are in so much pain and you had reveal your feelings through your lyrics. Sorry we did not notice the dog tattoo was a sign of depression. Sorry that you have struggle a lot but we still could not notice that.
He has the black dog tattoo which
significant he has depression.

I know you have been thinking a lot before doing this decision. I understand that and you are free now. Free from stress, depression, suffered. Be a happy angel.
I sincerely hope that you will be an ordinary person with full of happiness in your next life, maybe just someone who loves singing.

It's very tired right.
*all photos cr logo

I saw this beautiful title from a Korean news: A star that shined brightly on stage for 10 years, now a star of the skies. I hope you are one of the star in skies so that I can I looked into sky next time and you will be there.

You will be missed and remembered as the talented artist, the forever vocalist.

I miss you already.

Feeling of getting graduate

I seldom update on my blog since uni life and so fast it comes to an end.
It's been one week plus after my prom night. Since then we are done with our undergraduate life except those have exams like me. Seriously, I don't have any plans right after my exam which falls on 9 june, my plan just right until there.

After few days later of prom, I get to know that some of my course mates get job offered. I was really wow! They are so fast and i'm still doing nothing here but watching dramas. But i really hope the very best for them.
Back to the old days, we always have an option-to continue studies when we are getting shaking in our dream or don't know what to choose.

And always have a target , like after standard 6, i am hoping to get into pcghs, and i success to get it.
After studied form 5, I was refused to study form 6 and choosing to study in college. But that time i was hesitated because I want to learn so many things like culinary arts, design, tourism, engineering, communication and so on. And also I scare i am regretting of enrol in a business school.
End up I studied form 6 as I want to have more times to think what i really want. Back then, I was neglecting my studies purposely during form 6 because i really hate to study form 6. But guess what, form 6 turn out to become the best life i had during high school times. You will never know what is the best thing, maybe it is the thing you hate the most, but when you worked on it, it might turn well! Life is full of surprises.

And I have make up my mind to study communication and I know that is my choice and I would not regret.
And thanks god I make it to the one of the best university and also get my first choice.

Now three years passed, I am going to graduate real soon.
3 years of studies are not easy and lots of troubles and challenges I had overcome and be a stronger person.
I feel so blanked and don't know where to go and what to do as I always have a choice before.
I am panicked and never face this situation. I don't know what to do and feel likes hiding myself in my own space. Where is my old days courage? I keep asking myself. At this point, I suddenly don't know what I want, what is my target? no plan. Recently, I have think of it every nights very seriously about what to do in my future. I don't want to compare to others who get the job faster than me or get higher salary. I just want to do something I like so it won't be as like my job and I would enjoy it. I guess I need some exploration before I get to a serious job even is a small gateway will do.

And I feel like started to miss my friends already.I really feel it when seeing them go back to their home town. This time would be different compared to last time because they came from other states and I do not know when will come to the day we all will meet again. There is a sorrow in my heart that I could not tell anyone. It can't help.

Although here I came to the T-junction of life, But I know I will stay positive as always.
And cheer up and all the best peeps :)

Check out Your Birth Number

Your birth date describes who we are, what we are good at and what our inborn abilities are. It also points to what we have to learn and the challenges we are facing.

To figure out your Birth Number, add all the numbers in the Birth Date together, like in the example, until there is only one digit. A Birth Number does not prevent you from being anything you want to be, it will just color your choice differently and give you a little insight.

Example:
March 20, 1950
3 + 20 + 1950 = 1973
1 + 9 + 7 + 3 = 20
2 + 0 = 2

Keep going until you end up with a single digit number. 2 is the Birth Number to read for the birth date in the example.

lets put your logic to the test

Lets put your logic to the test
Professor : You are a Christian, aren’t you, son ?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor: So, you believe in GOD ?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Professor : Is GOD good ?
Student : Sure.
Professor: Is GOD all powerful ?
Student : Yes.
Professor: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn’t. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?
(Student was silent.)
Professor: You can’t answer, can you ? Let’s start again, young fella. Is GOD good?
Student : Yes.
Professor: Is satan good ?
Student : No.
Professor: Where does satan come from ?
Student : From … GOD …
Professor: That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student : Yes.
Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?
Student : Yes.
Professor: So who created evil ?
(Student did not answer.)
Professor: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor: So, who created them ?
(Student had no answer.)
Professor: Science says you have 5 Senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son, have you ever seen GOD?
Student : No, sir.
Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your GOD?
Student : No , sir.
Professor: Have you ever felt your GOD, tasted your GOD, smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any sensory perception of GOD for that matter?
Student : No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.
Professor: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student : Yes.
Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.
Professor: Yes, faith. And that is the problem Science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Professor: Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as cold?
Professor: Yes.
Student : No, sir. There isn’t.
(The lecture theater became very quiet with this turn of events.)
Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.
(There was pin-drop silence in the lecture theater.)
Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?
Student : You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light. But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it is, well you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?
Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man ?
Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Professor: Flawed ? Can you explain how?
Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good GOD and a bad GOD. You are viewing the concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.
Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
Professor: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going.)
Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor. Are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?
(The class was in uproar.)
Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?
(The class broke out into laughter. )
Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?
(The room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable.)
Professor: I guess you’ll have to take them on faith, son.
Student : That is it sir … Exactly ! The link between man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that keeps things alive and moving.
P.S.
I believe you have enjoyed the conversation. And if so, you’ll probably want your friends / colleagues to enjoy the same, won’t you?
Forward this to increase their knowledge … or FAITH.
By the way, that student was EINSTEIN.
Shared it from Facebook.
